The Department of English is a dynamic and collegial department that has research strengths in two main areas, namely: 1) Applied Linguistics and Professional Communication; and 2) Literary and Cultural Studies (see our full research profile). The Department is home to the New Frontiers in Professional Communication Lab, as well as the cross-institutional Transnational Urban Narratives Network. It offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in English Studies.
